Bathroom in a 1965 building in Champel
A bath replaced by a level-access shower in an occupied apartment. The toilet was back in service every evening.
The starting point
A retired couple wanted to replace a bath that had become hard to step into with a level-access shower, without leaving their apartment during the works.
What we did
- A flush shower made possible by raising the whole room floor by 4 cm, with a gentle threshold at the door.
- A temporary toilet reconnected every evening during the first two weeks.
- Grab rail and fold-down seat fixed to reinforcements put in at milestone 3.

The gap, explained
The drain riser was in worse condition than expected and was replaced on that floor with the condominium’s agreement (signed variation): a day and a half longer.
