Two shower rooms in a 1978 house in Versoix
Two shower rooms renovated one after the other, so that the family always had a shower in the house.
The starting point
A family of five, who could not move out, wanted to redo both of the house’s original shower rooms.
What we did
- Phasing: the ground-floor shower room first, then the upstairs bathroom.
- Asbestos survey before the works (1978 house) and targeted removal.
- The same tiler for both rooms, for matching joints.
Trades coordinated
- 01 Demolition
- 02 Plumbing
- 03 Electrics
- 04 Waterproofing and screed
- 05 Tiling
- 06 Plastering and painting
Planned schedule, actual schedule
- Ground-floor shower room
- Upstairs bathroom
- Handover
The gap, explained
The survey found asbestos in the tile adhesive of the ground-floor shower room: two days of removal, agreed by variation before demolition.
